Tech Trekkers is a locally owned computer repair and IT services business serving Raleigh, North Carolina and the surrounding towns. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Information you give us

When you fill in the quote form on this site we collect your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the message field. If you sign up for tech tips by email, we collect your email address. We only ask for what we need in order to reply to you and schedule your service.

How we use it

We use the details you send to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange on-site or remote support, and follow up about the work. If you subscribed by email, we use your address to send occasional tech tips and security updates, and you can ask us to stop at any time. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Analytics

This site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. These statistics are aggregated and are not used to identify individual visitors.

Data we handle during a repair

When you bring us a device, or we connect to it remotely, we may need access to the files and accounts on it in order to carry out the repair, recover data, or remove an infection. We only access what the job requires, we do not copy your personal files except where a backup or data recovery is part of the agreed work, and we do not disclose anything we see on your device.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and service records for as long as we need them to support you and to meet our normal business and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your details at any time and we will do so unless we are required to keep them.

Your choices
